Are you ready to make a change?
Are you feeling overwhelmed by the weight of the world, finding yourself exhausted and burnt out more often than not?
You might be holding a lot right now: navigating a big transition, questioning your identity, unpacking a new diagnosis, or trying to find your way back to yourself after burnout, heartbreak, or years of survival mode.
If you've ever learned to hide your feelings, push through, or be the one who always holds it together, you're not alone — and you're not broken.
Hi! I’m Amber Salik (she/her). I’m an Associate Marriage & Family Therapist (#135666) and expressive arts therapist based in Los Angeles.
As a queer, neurodivergent woman of color, I know what it’s like to move through the world carrying a lot, feeling too much and not enough at the same time, and just how lonely that can feel.
Therapy with me is spacious, creative, and grounded in real connection. It’s about slowing down, feeling things through, and making space for the parts of you that haven’t had room to speak.
If you’re feeling lost, stuck, or just ready to know yourself more fully — you don’t have to do it alone. I’d love to support you.

I often work with BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and neurodivergent teens and adults (ages 12–40) — folks navigating identity exploration, anxiety/depression, trauma, dating/relationship concerns, imposter syndrome, life transitions, and creative blocks.
Some of my clients come to therapy at the beginning or end of something — a relationship, a diagnosis, a chapter in their life — and just need a space to feel it all through. Others are tired of carrying so much alone and are ready to rewrite old stories about who they need to be in order to be loved, safe, or enough.
In addition to individual therapy, I offer family and couples therapy for people looking to communicate more openly, repair trust, or better understand each other.
My role in relational work is to help you slow down, get curious about patterns, and practice more honest, compassionate connection — with yourself and each other.
*Please note: As an associate, all therapy services (both in-person and virtual) are conducted at The Wellness Arts Collective, under the direct supervision of Rhonda Waller-Dang (LMFT #108744).

My style is warm, intuitive, and gently challenging. I’m not here to fix you — I’m here to walk alongside you as we explore what’s beneath the surface and what wants to shift.
My approach is process-oriented, which means our work unfolds based on what you’re bringing into the space. Sessions with me aren’t overly structured or rigid; instead, they’re a space to notice what’s coming up, follow emotional threads, ask deeper questions, and engage creatively.
We might talk, make art, map patterns, explore parts of yourself, or simply sit with whatever you’ve been feeling lately. I often blend the depth of narrative therapy and parts work to help you understand your internal patterns and reframe the stories you’ve been carrying — and pair that with more action-oriented approaches like solution-focused therapy and motivational interviewing to help you move toward your goals with compassion, clarity, and intention.
I also draw from expressive arts therapy, EMDR, and relational work to support trauma processing, emotional expression, and reconnection with your inner clarity and creative resilience.

My services (provided through The Wellness Arts Collective) are considered an out-of-network mental health offering by all insurance providers.
What this means for you is that the work we do together, often stays between you and your therapist. It also means that you can pace our treatment in ways that are governed by your needs and not by the managed medical care system. Which otherwise would be dictated by your insurance company.
You might, however, be able to get reimbursed for out-of-network therapy, depending on your insurance plan and benefits. Please contact your insurance company directly for more information on this process.
