Creative Process Group for Grief and Loss
Do you feel overwhelmed by waves of grief that seem to come out of nowhere?
Are you struggling to find meaning after a significant loss?
Do you feel isolated, like no one truly understands your grief?
Are you unsure how to process the complex emotions that accompany loss?
Do you want to honor your grief but don’t know where to start?
if so, you’re in the right place.
Sometimes, words alone can’t capture the depth of our grief. Through creative arts, we can give shape to our experience and connect more deeply with our loss. In this group, you’re invited to explore your unique journey with grief using creative writing, storytelling, role-playing, and art-making. Each modality offers a way to express, witness, and honor your grief in a supportive and transformative space.
This 8-week grief group is a safe, supportive space where you can:
Honor your grief and the loved ones or experiences you’ve lost.
Explore your emotions through creative expression and guided activities.
Connect with others who understand and share similar experiences.
Transform your grief into a source of strength and resilience.
Heal at your own pace, surrounded by a community that truly gets it.
All Kinds of Losses are Welcome
Every person's experience of loss is unique, but all are invited to join this group, regardless of the type of loss they’ve faced. Grief cannot be compared, measured, or diminished by another’s suffering. Grief is both deeply personal and a shared human experience. In coming together, we find wisdom, healing, and strength in our collective grief.
Grief can stem from many different experiences, such as:
Death of a loved one (family member, friend, or pet)
Divorce or breakup
Loss of a job or career
Loss of health (chronic illness, disability, or diagnosis)
Miscarriage or stillbirth
Loss of a home (due to disaster, eviction, or relocation)
Estrangement from family or friends
Loss of identity (due to life transitions, aging, or major life changes)
Loss of a dream or goal (unfulfilled ambitions or unmet expectations)
Loss of financial stability
Loss of safety or security (trauma, violence, or abuse)
Loss of a relationship (friendship or mentor)
Empty nest (children growing up and moving out)
Retirement (loss of routine or purpose)
Loss of a community or support system
Loss of independence or autonomy
Loss of faith or spirituality
Loss of time (due to missed opportunities or life changes)
Throughout our journey, we’ll delve into key topics like understanding different types of grief, expressing emotions, honoring the past, and finding resilience.
Each session is designed to guide you through a unique aspect of the grieving process, offering support and tools for healing. Together, we'll create a safe space to explore, express, and transform your grief.
